With degrees in zoology amd musueum studies and an Oxford doctorate, Gibraltarian Clive Finlayson has been Director of the Gibraltar Musuem since 1991. He is also the territory's Director of Heritage. In 2001 he was appointed to the staff of the Department of Anthropology at Toronto University and awarded the MBE two years later. In addition to his two books for Santana his many scientific publications include Neandertals and Modern Humans and his research programme includes excavations at Gorham's Cave in Gibraltar, the last known site of Neandertal Man.
